Julie Hattier - Business Manager
Julie and her family moved to the Waco area from San
Antonio fourteen years ago. She joined the South
Bosque team in 2002 as a receptionist. Julie has been
married to her husband, Mark, for twenty one years, and
between them, they have four sons, two
daughters-in-law, three grandchildren and one on the
way. Julie says they have replaced their four sons with
their four dogs, (Klinger, Radar, Stevie and Lily) who are
all rescues.

Kelsey Batchelor-Veterinary Technician
Kelsey joined the South Bosque team in 2008. She is
a longtime resident of central Texas, growing up on a
ranch in Lorena. Kelsey is married to her husband,
Ryan, who is an audio engineer and drummer.
Together they have a daughter, Abigail, who is 2
years old. Kelsey enjoys riding horses, cooking and
spending time with her family. They have a kitten
named Reese and 2 dogs, Tex and Juliet.
Kelsey joined the South Bosque team in 2008. She is

Nina Guerrero- Receptionist
Nina is from Waco, Texas and joined the South
Bosque team in January of 2009. Nina is married to
her husband Diago Jr. and has 2 daughters, Alyssa
who is 9 years old and Destinee who is 1 year old.
She is a graduate of University High School and
attended Cosmetology School in 2008. She has
been working in the health field for 6 years and has
a Yorkshire Terrier named "Miley".
Nina is from Waco, Texas and joined the South
Bosque team in January of 2009. Nina is married to
her husband Diago Jr. and has 2 daughters, Alyssa
who is 9 years old and Destinee who is 1 year old.
She is a graduate of University High School and
attended Cosmetology School in 2008. She has
been working in the health field for 6 years and has

Wendy Cormier- Receptionist
Wendy joined the South Bosque team in late 2008.
She is married and has a daughter named Madilyn
who is nearly 9 years old. Wendy grew up around
veterinary clinics and has always wanted to work
with animals. She has one Persian cat (Daisy),
and 4 dogs (Peanut, Butter, Cupcake, and Moose).
Wendy joined the South Bosque team in late 2008.

Hope Voegle- Animal Caregiver
Hope joined the South Bosque team in January
2009. Hope moved to Waco from Chorpus Christi
at the age of nine and is the oldest of 6 kids. She
lives with her mother and stepfather and is currently
attending Midway High School. After graduating
from Midway in 2010, she plans to attend Texas
A&M in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. Hope
and her family have 4 dogs (Lance, Harley, Alicia
and Bugsy), and an assortment of reptiles and other
exotic pets.

Jessica Lewis- Receptionist
Jessica has lived in Waco since May 2009 and has been
a member of SBVC since then. She enjoys spending
time with her boyfriend, Brandon and his 4 year old
daughter Emilia. Jessica has 2 pets, Sasha who is a 4
year old pit bull terrier and Daria her 3 year old ferret.
Jessica is a semi-professional singer, she enjoys singing
at Johnnie High's Country Music Revue in Arlington.
Jessica has lived in Waco since May 2009 and has been
a member of SBVC since then. She enjoys spending
time with her boyfriend, Brandon and his 4 year old

Sharlene Castoe- Veterinary Technician
Sharlene has been a part of the South Bosque team
since May 2009. She has 1 son, Chase who is 8 years
old. Sharlene has resided in central Texas for 25 years
and loves to go camping, fishing and anything
outdoors. Sharlene has several pets at home including
2 cats, Bandit and Snake Eyes and 1 dog named
Buddy.
Sharlene has been a part of the South Bosque team
since May 2009. She has 1 son, Chase who is 8 years
old. Sharlene has resided in central Texas for 25 years
and loves to go camping, fishing and anything
outdoors. Sharlene has several pets at home including
2 cats, Bandit and Snake Eyes and 1 dog named
Buddy.
Angela Stokes- Veterinary Technician
Angela joined South Bosque in 2008. She was raised in
China Spring and came to us with 5 years experience in
the veterinary field. Angela is pursuing nursing school
at McLennan Community College. She has 5 dogs
(Levi, Whitney, Medina, Mia, and Grace). Angela
spends her time with her family, at school, and with
her boyfriend, Chris.
Angela joined South Bosque in 2008. She was raised in
China Spring and came to us with 5 years experience in
the veterinary field. Angela is pursuing nursing school

Sharon Kelly- Receptionist
Long time Florida resident, Sharon, joined the South
Bosque Team in September 2009. She is a mother of her
7 year old girl and she is engaged to a National Guard
retiree. Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and
pets, Kora, Cooper, Monkey and Colt. She has worked
in animal hospitals, animal rescues and boarding facilities
her entire life. Her goal is to continue her life in animal
medicine and care by completing her education and
becoming a registered veterinary technician.
Long time Florida resident, Sharon, joined the South
Bosque Team in September 2009. She is a mother of her
7 year old girl and she is engaged to a National Guard
retiree. Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and
pets, Kora, Cooper, Monkey and Colt. She has worked

Courtney Parnell- Veterinary Technician
Courtney grew up on a ranch in West, Texas, which
is where she lives today. Courtney joined the South
Bosque team in November 2009. Courtney has a
daughter named Savana who was born December
2008. She also has a dog named Gypsy, a cat named
Smokey and 3 horses: Fly, Edna and Stoney. When
Courtney has free time she enjoys team roping and
training horses.

is where she lives today. Courtney joined the South
Bosque team in November 2009. Courtney has a

Liz Walker- Practice Manager
Liz has been with the South Bosque team since
December 2009. She is happily married to her husband,
David, and has 2 children, Jacob and Collin. Liz
volunteers at the Waco Humane Society and is also a
foster mom for many lucky pets. Liz's hobbies include
outdoor activities, painting and spending time with her
canine kids, Sam and Lucy, who are labs and Annie, a
poodle.
Liz has been with the South Bosque team since
December 2009. She is happily married to her husband,
David, and has 2 children, Jacob and Collin. Liz

Don Ickles- Animal Caregiver
Don grew up and attended schools in Waco. He is a
graduate of Baylor University and has his masters from
UNT. Don joined the South Bosque team in January of
2010 after retiring from his professional career of 37 years.
He has been married to his wife, Suzi for 36 years. Don and
Suzi have shared their lives with dogs and cats for over 30
years and their family consists of 4 dogs (Buddie, Sugar,
Patches and Beau) and 5 cats (Willie, Mollie, Twohig,
Charlie and Chessie). In Don's spare time he participates in
a variety of outdoor activities; ultra marathon cycling,
mountain biking, running, kayaking, hiking and nature
tourism. He is an active member of the Waco Bicycle Club,
H.O.T. Naturalist and the H.O.T. Pond and Water Garden
Society.
